CONDITIONS
The self drive rate incorporates insurance
covering accident damages and loss
over US $ 250, provided this has
reported to the nearest police station
and a police report acceptable for
insurance is obtained. However,
in such a case the deposit of US
$ 250 will not be refunded.
Inclusive of current Government Taxes (15%
at time of printing).
Rates are liable to alteration without
notice with changes in fuel prices
and Government taxes.
A refundable deposit of US $ 250.00 is required
as security for the safe return
of the car in the same condition
it was delivered.
Use of cars :
Using vehicles in breach of the
laws, by driving at excessive speed
, under the influence of alcohol
or drugs, for any illegal purpose
or for driving in wild life sanctuaries
or on any other jungle tracks is
prohibited. Insurance is invalidated
by any breach of restrictions.
Qualifications :
Driver's minimum age 25, maximum
age 65.
A National Licence or International Driving Permit requires endorsement for driving in Sri Lanka. This has to be applied for in person on a Government working day in Colombo, not on Saturday or public holidays.
Payment :
Deposit and full rental should be paid in advance, in cash, travellers cheques or by American Express, Visa or Master Card.
